About this Project
Gulf Projects was involved in the installation of Auckland’s iconic Santa and reindeer Christmas display on the former Whitcoulls building in Queen Street.
The annual installation involved carefully planned crane lifts and temporary road closures to position Santa, the reindeer and associated Christmas displays above one of Auckland’s busiest city-centre streets.
The works required detailed coordination of traffic management, crane operations, specialist contractors, site access and health and safety, with installation undertaken around the demands of the central-city environment.
Gulf’s involvement extended back to the earlier Santa display with the well-known winking eye and beckoning finger, making this another long-running and distinctive Auckland project.
You know it Christmas when Gulf Projects shuts one of the busiest streets in Auckland and hoist Santa and friends on to the side of the old Whitcoulls building. A reasonably straight forward job that showcases the project management and health and safety that Gulf can call upon for your next Project.
